Import sustainability data

Smart Imports load spreadsheet data into ErgOps with column mapping, validation and a review step. Nothing is saved until you confirm.

Open Facilities → Smart Imports and select ↑ Import Data.

Before you start#

  • Prepare a CSV or XLSX file — up to 15 MB and 20,000 rows.
  • You need an editing role (Organization Manager, Sustainability Manager or Facility Manager).

What you can import#

Import type Typical content
Energy Electricity, gas, fuel or heat consumption
Water Water withdrawal or consumption
Waste Waste quantities and treatment
Carbon activity Emission-relevant activities
Operations Production and operational metrics
Procurement Purchases for Scope 3 (including ERP exports from SAP, Logo, Mikro or Netsis)
Transportation Shipments and freight activity

The import steps#

  1. Upload — choose the import type, the file, the evidence source (for example Official invoice or Meter export) and the date format.
  2. Preview — check that ErgOps read the file correctly.
  3. Mapping — ErgOps matches your column headers (including Turkish headers) to ErgOps fields. Adjust anything it missed. Mappings can be saved as templates for next time.
  4. Validation — rows with missing or invalid values are flagged.
  5. Review — check the summary. Rows that duplicate existing records are always skipped.
  6. Import — confirm to save. Tick partial import only if you want valid rows saved while invalid rows are left out.
  7. Result — see what was imported.

Classification for procurement, transport and carbon activity#

These three import types also need an emissions classification (scope, category and activity type) for each row:

  • Rows that match an approved mapping or an ErgOps rule are classified automatically.
  • For remaining rows, ErgOps can propose an AI-assisted suggestion. A suggestion never sets quantities or emission factors.
  • Every suggestion must be approved by a person — one by one, after editing, or with Approve eligible. Approvals and changes are recorded.

The import cannot be completed until every row has an approved classification.

Import history#

Import History lists each file with its type, number of rows, who imported it, when, and the status: Completed, Partial, Failed or Processing.

Tip The evidence source you choose affects data quality: a meter export is treated as stronger evidence than a manual spreadsheet.
