Set targets and a net-zero roadmap
Targets turn ambitions into measurable commitments with a baseline, a target value and a date. ErgOps tracks progress against the pathway you choose.
Open Plan in the sidebar (the Targets & Net Zero Roadmap page) and select Create Target.
Create a target#
- Enter a Target name and choose the Metric — for example emissions, energy or water.
- Choose the Target type: Percentage reduction, Absolute reduction, Intensity reduction, Increase, Absolute maximum or Net zero.
- Set the scope — the whole organization, a facility or an asset.
- Define the baseline: start and end, value and unit, and your Baseline confidence.
- Enter the Target value and Target date.
- Choose the Pathway: linear, or custom milestones.
- For Net zero, tick the Scope 1, 2 and 3 coverage and describe residual emissions and neutralization.
The baseline is stored as a fixed snapshot, so later data changes do not move your starting point.
Track progress#
| Status | Meaning |
|---|---|
| On track | Progress is at or ahead of the pathway |
| At risk | Slightly behind the pathway |
| Off track | Clearly behind the pathway |
| Achieved | The target value is reached |
| Not enough data | Progress cannot be calculated yet |
Use Save snapshot in a target's detail to record progress at a point in time. Organization Managers can Archive a target.
Note ErgOps tracks the targets you define. It does not validate targets against external initiatives such as SBTi.
