Rate limits

Rate limits protect infrastructure throughput and are evaluated by credential, organization, environment and endpoint class. Exceeding the configured minute window returns 429 RATE_LIMITED with Retry-After where available.

Rate limit is not contract capacity:

• Rate limit: how quickly requests may arrive.
• Contract capacity: how many successful Live canonical calculations are included in the effective commercial period.

Changing one does not silently change the other.
